PROJECT: SELF PORTRAIT

How will your own life become inspiration to you and your artwork? Consider your best and your worst memories: floating on the clouds, feeling down in the darkest of isolation. From the joy of puppies, to the pain of broken relationships; the comfort of family to the sting of death. Use your imagination to bring us to your habitat of memories, or show us who you are today as a result of them all.

ARTIST STATEMENT

“My name is Mya Hernandez and I am ten years old. My painting is about my imagination. This expresses myself. I have a wild imagination. I have written books, movies, and series. I also think of new stuff all every day. I think of my books being sold, and my movies being watched. I also think of me singing for concerts because I love to sing. As you can see, I am singing, and I also make up songs with only me, with everyone, and even with raps in them. I also imagine myself selling albums. So basically, I use my imagination a lot. That is my painting.”
