PROJECT: SELF PORTRAIT

Describe your favorite animal. Describe your favorite color. A brief theory in psychology. . . Your description of your favorite animal is how you indirectly see yourself. Your description of your favorite color is how other people indirectly see you. You might be more beautiful than you thought you were, or maybe you did not know you had an ugly side. And you may be more loved than you imagined.

ARTIST STATEMENT

“I am a ten-year-old girl named Sha’jhay Riley. I am a leader, not a follower. I shall be independent to have a good career. I try to be godly but sometimes I do not succeed. I care for the blood of Jesus, shed for my sins. My half face shows that i am scared that people will judge me. The eyes show I am furious. I painted this portrait to show that I am not what you think I am.”
